I was one of the women on the show..My son and I go out in public and film reactions of people when they find out it is a doll but I do not take them in public because I think they are real. On my You Tube channel, I use the dolls as I would puppets for kids.People judge without knowing the facts. My sons and I have a blast making up skits but what you see on youtube is not what I do in my daily life. The feeding video was not to be taken seriously as it was just a skit...My subscribers know my videos are for fun only and not to taken as my real life....I'm first a mom,wife,and teacher and the dolls are just a hobby on the side..I'm a big kid at heart and love acting and being silly with my kids and doing videos. Nothing wrong with having fun and making cute videos with dolls...that is all it is....

i think the reborn dolls are kind a cute but i would not recommend my friends because i am mother n i know what it takes to be a mother, the patience, the yelling,etc. but i enjoy that, but having a reborn doll u dont get the interaction, having a baby u look forward for that interaction and having to take care of a reborn with no interaction, its not my cup of tea.That alone will just take much of your time caring for a reborn dolls when u could spend/channel that same amount of time and do somthing with your kid, but that just my opinion.

Would love to have a baby doll made to look like my daughter when she was a baby. I think they are beautiful, but my husband says I'm just a big kid who never grew up. I tell him that I never had dolls or toys when I was a kid.

Like the dolls, would buy one. But, I dont see the point of carrying them around and providing seats and stuff for them. However, each their own so kudos to people who want to take care of these dolls.

Pam, Just because someone has a hobby does not make them have psychological issues. That, mon ami, is tres mechant. Very mean. I'm not saying everyone has to like them, but putting down and insulting those who do enjoy them is not right. It is also not okay to assume that the people who participate in this hobby are selfish and depriving those around them. You know nothing about their personal lives and what they do or don't do for others. To lump them all together as uncaring and selfish is extremely immature on your part. There are those who don't collect reborns and still don't volunteer or serve others. But then again, to quote you, I guess judgemental people "don't thinking rationally".

I view them as a 3 dimensional art form. The reborner are the artists and the people who buy them are art collectors. The beauty of a piece of art is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone doesn't like or understand Picasso, but that doesn't make his work less than a piece of art. I don't see the collectors as being any different than people who spend a fortune collecting model trains and building entire countrysides around them and have entire rooms which they use to keep them set up. I happen to think they are darn cute and bring a smile to my face.

HAHA!! I just love them <3 And so far... everyone I have met seems to like then too :D I don't give a **** what anyone thinks :D My "doll" isn't on welfare and costing you money, it isn't taking the last spot in daycare, and it isn't screaming at the table next to you while you're trying to have a nice romantic dinner with your husband. If you don't like it... then don't look at it. My mother always said, "If you can't say something nice... KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!" I personally see it as it's no different from someone playing collecting model trains or cars, or playing D&D, WOW, or the various other RPG's. It makes us happy so step off our toes and walk on the other side of the street.

I have a few dolls that I collected but those Reborn dolls are a like creepy for my taste. Some of them are cute but when the owners of these dolls have a stroller and car seat for them that's a little too cuckcoo for me.

The dolls themselves are cute. The people who have obsessions with them are just plain PSYCHO! Carrying them around is not normal behavior. There's obviously something lacking in their lives that they feel the need to carry these non-living things around and treat them like they're real. The lady feeding her on her video blog....that was just plain EMBARASSING!

I guess the Reborn Dolls bring people back to when they were little girls and a doll was their FIRST BABY. What may be CREEPY to some is somewhat bringing JOY to others. Little Girls have always Loved Baby Dolls. This is just the PRESENT.....DOLL CRAZE.....ie....CABBAGE PATCH DOLLS, MADAME ALEXANDER DOLLS, SHIRLEY TEMPLE....AND MILLIONS MORE.
